SO, while waiting for my animation to render- the full 24 hours! I was working on other things, and I suddenly had a great idea for the editing and composition process...

As you can see in the image below, the dragon goes towards the castle where there is a large opening, and then flies away- what if I try and find an appropriate video, or even film, a number of men shooting arrows and rocks at the dragon and shrink it down and place it in this little area. This would bring the matt painting to life a bit more!

I got the idea for this from a YouTube video I watched about Matt Paintings. Basically, in one of the original Indiana Jones films, a matt painting was made by hand of a cliff face and a live action shot of the actors on a small set was filmed. These two things were then put together to give a clever illusion that the actors were within the matt painting. Images and the video can be seen below:
