Adding the details and texture for the Dragon

Today I started the final detailing and texturing for my dragon model. This will need to be done for next week where I will start learning how to rig my dragon and animate it.

I have been working on the basic model of the dragon for a while now. I wanted to make sure that it looked exactly how I imagined in my head when I first came up with this idea. I also needed to make sure that the typology of the model is perfectly done. Below you can see the finished, very primitive version of my dragon.

Adding a smoothing tool to the model I then transported it to Mudbox where I started adding details such as muscle definition and more defined facial features.

Once I had finished the detailing I started texturing. I used so many layers of different textures that I mostly found on textures.com. This created the final dragon model shown below:
